Gustav Bøg Petersen
Gustav Bøg Petersen is a visiting postdoctoral scholar in the Virtual Human Interaction Lab. He earned a Ph.D. in educational psychology from University of Copenhagen in 2024. His research focuses on the educational use of immersive virtual reality technology, with particular emphasis on the optimal usage of agents and avatars. Petersen’s research project ‘OceanSpeak’ at Stanford University deals with how the combination of immersive virtual reality technology and artificial intelligence can be leveraged for marine environmental education. Specifically, OceanSpeak focuses on how interactive, AI-based marine wildlife may assist learners with comprehending marine environmental issues better.
